Words for Today "Can you imagine God coming to visit you everyday for a chat in your workplace?  Wouldn't that be amazing?  Envision now that He comes by when you are "in the middle of something," one of the many challenging and occasionally annoying tasks that make up your daily routine and one that you are having trouble with.  Wouldn't it be great to be able to ask for His advise or help?"

 You can and He will.  "You are my friends if you do what I command. I no longer call you servants, because a servant does not know his master's business. Instead, I have called you friends, for everything that I learned from my Father I have made known to you. You did not choose me, but I chose you and appointed you to go and bear fruit-fruit that will last. Then the Father will give you whatever you ask in my name."

John 15:14-16

God never, ever intended for us to go it alone or to be separated from Him in bringing about the fulfillment of our purpose and destiny here on earth.  It’s always about collaboration.

Does God really want to partner with me?

28"Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. 29Take my yoke upon you(partner with me) and learn from me(to learn from God means to do business the way He would), for I am gentle and humble in heart(God doesn’t bully or push – He invites), and you will find rest for your souls. 30For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.(it is almost impossible to carry the weight of a load when we’ve put it behind us and when we’ve harnessed ourselves to God’s strength)"  Matt. 11:28-30

And so, our view, our perspective must change and we must see ourselves as a part of this great Transformation process.  When this happens, we won’t have to worry about protecting against (since the Lord said, the gates of Hell shall not prevail here), but partnering with each other and with what the Lord is already at work doing.

When you are in partnership with God you are His friend.  You know His voice.  You have powerful, purposeful insights that the Father has made known to you and you are not looking for His approval; you are not trying to perform, build or make something so that man can applaud you.  You are a partner – friend with the King of Kings and He is giving you blue prints that will expand His Kingdom, not yours.  This is love, not labor.  This is worship, not work.  You have caught a glimpse of the original heavenly purpose that the Father intended all along.  What’s so amazing about this is the fact that you didn’t chose God, God chose you.  And as one of His chosen kingdom partners you are in a position to join Him in what He is already doing and wants to do.  You are in a position to bear fruit, which for those who have labored to no end, realize the joy and fulfillment in that fruit bearing.  You are now in a position to ask of God.  Not for your pride or possessive pursuits, but for His.
