Reflections

Father, I ask in the name of Jesus Christ for a full release of the Anointing and Impartation that was spoken and manifested during this time.  I ask for clarity of purpose and plans.  I ask for passion to testify and obey the revelation given; and for deliberate initiative to carry out these plans.
Even now as I ask for these things I am reminded of something shared this week – which was - when we ask for knowledge and wisdom we need to know what each means.  Knowledge is what to do and Wisdom is how to do it.  So I pray; God of Knowledge – I ask you to show me what to do.  God of Wisdom – teach me how to do it.  God of Power – equip me with supernatural strength in which to carry this out.

“This command I entrust to you, Patrick(put your name here), my son, in accordance with the prophecies previously made concerning you, that by them you may fight the good fight, keeping faith and a good conscience.”
1 Timothy 1:18,19a

It is upon the closeness and discovery of God that He reveals His heart.  Searching out, seeking after, inquiring of the Lord – this is our daily digest.  This discovery is both of who God is and of who we are meant to be in relation to Him.  The key here is about who we are meant to be in Christ, not do.  The do comes out of a revelation of the Fathers heart toward us.  After a week of revelation and impartation everyone is eager to do, but timing is everything and being is foundational in this process.
So that means there has to be a discipline in discovery.  Discovery, seeking first, searching out a matter and inquiring of the Lord takes initiative and effort.  Once it is developed it must be cultivated and maintained.
Our futility and exhaustion stems from actions taken without intimacy.
Our knowledge and expertise are not enough.  We need to receive from God on a regular basis otherwise frustration sets in.  Frustration leads to doubt.  Doubt leads to confusion.  Confusion leads us to fear that ultimately leads to a place of unbelief.
This is why Paul instructs Timothy to fight the good fight of faith.  The things of God, the good things, are not gained easily.  Faith isn’t arbitrary it’s intentional.  As God reveals His heart and our purpose – faith has a platform for expression.
Faith requires us to fight when it seems impossible to catch anything.  Every miracle and manifestation that Jesus demonstrated wasn’t for the sake of miracles – it was for the express purpose of knowing God by faith.  God wants to move us from a place of believing in Him to a place of believing Him.  Trust in the Lord completely!
